TechTree is backed by notable angels including the co-founder of Monzo and a Senior Product Manager from Amazon.

As a Community & Events Manager within TechTree, you will have the exciting opportunity to build and nurture our growing ecosystem of 80+ communities. Your role will be instrumental in helping TechTree grow and enabling us to learn and build products that help community creators improve career opportunities for their community.

As a Community & Events Manager at TechTree, we would love you to help us with:

  • Developing new relationships with existing engineering communities
  • Understanding how we can better help community creators
  • Collaborating with communities to create great value for the engineering community

We want to enable community creators to grow their communities and provide better experiences and value for their members, with a focus on diversity-focused engineering communities.

You will spend most of your time engaging, organising, coordinating, and participating in communities and activities. You’ll partner with, create, grow, and nurture various communities, both online and offline, ensuring high standards of conduct among all members. You will organise ways for community members to engage while making it straightforward to learn about TechTree.

Our ideal candidate has exceptional verbal and written communication skills and can develop engaging content and spaces for developers to learn. You should be a ‘people person’ with great customer service skills and the ability to moderate online and offline conversations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Outreach to wider communities and partners (meetups, coding schools, events, niche media, content creators, etc.) to partner and grow our communities
  • Growing and nurturing our network of engineer communities
  • Being a public face of the TechTree community
  • Creating a community strategy in line with TechTree’s goals and values
  • Setting and implementing social media and communication campaigns to align with the goals of each community
  • Representing TechTree at conferences, virtual and in-person community meetups, and customer events
  • Increasing awareness of the TechTree platform among communities in a non-intrusive way
  • Building relationships with key influencers in the community, potential customers, and external community leaders
  • Taking care of events logistics, including hosted platforms, websites, communication, and in-person venue logistics as required

Partner with the product team to feedback developer and community needs to align our product strategy. At TechTree, community, product, sales, and marketing must work closely together to create shared messages and a cohesive brand. You will work closely with these growing teams as well as broader developer communities.

You pride yourself on the quality and accessibility of your communication. You have previous community management experience, having created and managed different communities, and understand the values and behaviours that healthy communities should possess. You are at your best when immersed in developer communities and enjoy meeting new people from all walks of life, valuing diversity.
