The role involves curating success for creators on Nanogram, ensuring they improve, remain engaged, and attract others. The focus is on identifying passionate creators and enhancing their skills to achieve monetization, which requires weeks of nurturing. The aim is to build the best game creation community online, currently centred on Discord, while also hosting impactful game jams that extend beyond the user base.
You will act as the voice of the user and the brand, translating user needs into product improvements and representing Nanogram's identity back to the creators. Collaboration with a full-time content creator will be essential to promote the brand on social media and document game jams.
What you bring:
- Experience in building a brand or product community from scratch, demonstrating growth alongside a product.
- Ability to identify and name the first 100 community members and their origins.
- Product literacy, ideally from an app team, to effectively filter user feedback.
- Experience in creator development, enhancing individual creators' performance.
- Proven track record of running recurring events that engage users and establishing flagship formats that attract new members.
- Understanding of engagement metrics leading to monetization, including active member statistics and retention rates.
- A genuine gaming background, either as a player or through professional experience in the gaming industry.
- Autonomy in a zero-to-one role without a predefined playbook.
Nice to have:
- Previous experience as a creator in games, video, or user-generated content.
- Familiarity with Discord mechanics, including roles, onboarding, bots, and permissions.
- Experience balancing the needs of both creators and consumers.
- Collaboration with content creators or talent.
Not a fit:
- Experience limited to maintaining existing communities or growing those around established topics.
- Background in crypto, web3, token, or trading communities.
- Only posting on brand channels without knowing the community members.
- Agency or consultancy experience only.
Logistics:
- Location: remote until October 2026, then London in person. Relocation to London by October is a condition of the offer.
- Full-time position.
- Compensation: £90,000-£110,000 gross per year.
