TechTrace Partners are working with a specialist cyber security organisation to recruit a Cyber Security Engineering Team Manager to lead and coordinate a high-performing cyber engineering function operating within an operational cyber security environment. This is not a hands-on engineering role. This role focuses on leading the coordination and operational effectiveness of a high-performing engineering team, ensuring priorities remain clear, blockers are removed early, and delivery continues to run smoothly as the function grows. The position combines team leadership, operational coordination, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement. Success in the role comes from being organised, proactive, commercially aware, and able to bring clarity to busy operational environments. You’ll play an important role in helping shape and scale the engineering function over time, supporting the continued growth and development of a high-performing team.
The Role
- Coordinating day-to-day activity across the engineering function
- Managing priorities, workloads, delivery timelines, and operational workflow
- Leading and supporting a high-performing engineering team
- Identifying bottlenecks, operational risks, and delivery issues proactively
- Driving practical solutions that improve team efficiency and delivery performance
- Acting as the link between engineering, onboarding, operational teams, and leadership
- Running standups, planning sessions, and workflow reviews
- Improving visibility across engineering projects and delivery activity
- Supporting smoother collaboration across teams and stakeholders
- Helping introduce stronger operational structure, planning, and process improvement
- Supporting the continued growth, organisation, and development of the engineering function over time
