As our Account Manager will report directly to the Sales Manager and be focused on the Core market in EMEA, responsible for driving revenue growth, establishing strategic partnerships, and expanding our market share.
To be the ideal candidate, you will have a deep understanding of the sector, a proven track record in B2B sales, and the ability to build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders. You will be tasked with planning and delivering sales results through your own experience and knowledge – also through building partnerships with the wider ecosystem of analysts, consultants, and account managers across the Omdia organisation.

Position Overview:
- Working with senior management and regional peers (US/APAC) to define and execute an EMEA new business plan.
- Form close, trust-based relationships with the local EMEA teams across the ecosystem (many of whom are based in the London HQ).
- Undertaking prospect mapping and ranking exercises within set markets.
- Achieving new business revenue targets, proactively responding to inbound inquiries and self-generated leads based on a deep market and product understanding.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring timely and successful delivery of Omdia’s solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
- Work with the marketing department to design and implement a marketing program geared toward our target segments.
- Work collaboratively to promote Omdia’s capabilities, solutions, and ambitions across the portfolio.
- Reporting accurate forecasting and performance metrics to key internal and external stakeholders, highlighting revenue risks and opportunities.
- Attending key Informa Tech and industry-relevant competitor events.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth in the market across the EMEA region. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in expanding our market presence and establishing lasting partnerships with industry leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Expansion:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for the Core sector in the EMEA region.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
Client Acquisition:
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline by identifying and qualifying potential clients.
- Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to showcase our solutions and address client needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to customize proposals and solutions that align with client requirements.
Relationship Management:
- Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and industry stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business challenges and proposing tailored solutions.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Sales Targets and Reporting:
- Set ambitious sales targets and work towards exceeding them, contributing to the overall company revenue goals.
- Provide regular and accurate sales forecasts, reports, and updates to management.
- Utilize CRM tools for efficient pipeline management and reporting.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development and marketing, to align strategies and enhance offerings.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to share market insights and contribute to product/service enhancements.
Qualifications
- The ability to demonstrate a consultative approach when working with business-to-business buyers of research and consulting services.
- A confident and articulate verbal and written communicator, who can foster strong relationships both internally and externally.
- Demonstrates a pragmatic and commercially astute approach to decision making.
- Possesses excellent prioritization skills and has the foresight to anticipate obstacles and needs.
- Has gravitas and mental agility when presenting solutions, creating proposals, and closing sales based on thoughtful analysis of customer needs and expectations.
