Location: Abbey Wood, Bristol - 2-3 days onsite per week
Rate: £300/day inside ir35
Clearance: Active SC
Contract: Until March 2027
Start: October 2026
We're looking for an experienced Training Manager to support a major Defence capability introduction programme.
This is a specialist Defence training role, requiring strong experience delivering DSAT-compliant training solutions within complex Defence programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of the training solution across the programme
- Conduct and oversee Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
- Develop training plans, roadmaps and implementation strategies
- Establish training governance and accreditation arrangements
- Manage training readiness, acceptance and assurance activities
- Review and assure contractor training plans
- Support operational readiness and transition into service
- Manage training dependencies across the wider programme
Requirements
- Strong Defence training experience
- Proven practical application of DSAT
- Experience with TNA, training design and development
- Training governance, accreditation and assurance experience
- Experience developing competency frameworks xgikmsk and/or using LMS platforms
- Experience with training readiness, acceptance and quality assurance
- Active SC clearance
- Able to work 2-3 days per week onsite in Abbey Wood, Bristol
- Flexibility for occasional travel to Defence/contractor sites
Defence, DE&S, MOD, Air domain or UAS/UAV experience is highly desirable.
