TechShack is looking for an experienced technology recruiter to join our growing team. We recruit across Software Engineering, Development, DevOps, Cloud, Platform, Data and other technology markets throughout the UK and Europe, with plans already underway to expand into the US. We're currently a team of 18 and expect to grow to around 30 people by the end of the year.
As part of that growth, we're looking for someone who can join as a Principal Recruitment Consultant and quickly progress into a leadership position. This role can sit within either our Permanent or Contract division depending on your background and experience. Initially, you'll focus on building and developing your desk, growing client relationships and delivering against existing demand. Within 3-6 months, the expectation is that you'll move into a Head of Perm or Head of Contract role, taking responsibility for a team of approximately five consultants.
This is a genuine leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys billing but also wants to play a significant role in building a business. You'll work closely with the leadership team on strategy, hiring, performance and growth, with a clear route towards Director level and future equity participation.
We’re interested in speaking with recruiters who:
- Have a proven track record in technology recruitment
- Have experience running a successful permanent or contract desk
- Are commercially minded and ambitious
- Want to move into leadership and management
- Enjoy helping develop people and build teams
- Are motivated by growth and long-term opportunity
What we offer:
- Competitive salary depending on experience
- Uncapped commission structure paying up to 40%
- Clear progression from Principal Consultant to Head of Division and beyond
- Future Director-level opportunity with equity potential
- Two company trips each year
- Regular incentives including Lunch Clubs, Ascot and team events
- A high-performing but supportive environment with plenty of autonomy
- The chance to help shape the future of a business during a significant growth phase
This role would suit an established Senior or Principal Consultant who feels ready for more responsibility, more influence and a clearer path to leadership than they currently have. If you're looking for an opportunity to build something rather than simply maintain it, we'd like to talk.
