The predicted salary is between 50000 - 70000 £ per year.

Salary: DOE + Uncapped Commission (up to 40%)

One person has left TechShack in four years. We say that not to boast, but because it tells you something about what it's actually like here. No revolving door. No toxic targets culture. A team of people who chose to stay — and keep choosing it. We're 18 people. We're growing to 30 by the end of the year. And we're looking for a Principal Consultant in Technology Recruitment who wants to grow with us — not just fill a seat.

This isn't a lateral move. It's a launchpad. You’ll join as Principal Consultant, build and develop your desk across our Perm or Contract division — whichever fits your background — and within 3 to 6 months, step into a Head of Perm or Head of Contract position, leading a team of around five consultants. From there, the path to Director level and equity participation is real and planned. We're not using those words to get you in the door. We're building toward it. You’ll work closely with the founders — who are still on the tools, still billing, still in the market — on strategy, hiring, performance and growth. This is what it looks like to actually build something, rather than just service it.

The market: We recruit across Software Engineering, Development, DevOps, Cloud, Platform and Data — UK and Europe, with US expansion already underway.

Who we're looking for:

  • Someone who’s good at this job, knows it, and is frustrated that their current place can’t show them what comes next.
  • Proven track record in technology recruitment (perm or contract)
  • Experience running and owning a desk commercially
  • Ambitious, self‑directed, and motivated by long‑term upside
  • Ready for management — not just open to it
  • Gets energy from developing people and building teams
