We are hiring a Senior React Native Engineer to join a well funded health technology company developing mobile products that enable clinically meaningful diagnostic experiences. This is a hands on senior individual contributor position with React Native at the heart of the platform. You will own the mobile architecture across iOS and Android, focusing on core application foundations, performance sensitive features, and scalable mobile systems used in real world healthcare environments. This is not a feature factory position. You will have real architectural input, clear ownership of your work, and meaningful influence over how the mobile platform grows and evolves as the company expands internationally.
What You Will Do
- Own and evolve the React Native mobile platform across iOS and Android
- Design and implement scalable mobile architecture using React Native and TypeScript
- Work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver high quality mobile experiences
- Define performance standards and improve reliability across the mobile stack
- Architect and maintain state management and application structure at scale
- Integrate native modules using Swift or Kotlin where required
- Work with device capabilities including camera and other hardware integrations
- Improve release processes, testing strategy, and engineering discipline
- Contribute to CI and CD pipelines and mobile deployment workflows
- Lead architectural discussions and set technical direction for mobile engineering
What We Are Looking For
- Strong production experience with React Native and TypeScript
- Experience using Expo in live production environments
- Deep understanding of React hooks, performance optimisation, and state management patterns
- Experience architecting and scaling complex mobile applications
- High standards for performance, testing, reliability, and release quality
- Ability to communicate architectural trade offs clearly
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to operate autonomously in a senior individual contributor capacity
Bonus Points
- Experience with modern React Native architecture including Fabric, JSI, and TurboModules
- Native module integration experience with Swift or Kotlin
- Experience working with camera APIs or device level integrations
- Experience with mobile CI and CD tools such as Fastlane, GitHub Actions, or Bitrise
- Exposure to crash monitoring and observability tooling such as Sentry or Firebase
- Experience scaling mobile products across international markets
