Our client are building a next-generation 3D environment review and collaboration system, designed for creative and technical teams working with 3D assets. The platform enables seamless visualization, annotation, and version control, both in the cloud and on-premise, integrating cutting-edge rendering and processing pipelines with scalable backend infrastructure.
They are looking for a strong Engineer who enjoys working across backend systems, real-time services, and modern web UIs, supporting real-time collaboration, asset streaming, and hybrid deployments.
What You’ll Work On:
- Design and implement backend services in Rust/Go for scalable cloud deployment
- Build APIs and services for asset ingestion and versioning, review/approval workflows, authentication, permissions, and collaboration
- Develop frontend web interfaces in JavaScript/TypeScript (React, Vue, or similar)
- Integrate the platform into DCC plugins (data exchange, auth, event sync)
- Work with cloud infrastructure (AWS), containers, CI/CD
- Collaborate closely with 3D artists, technical artists, and pipeline Engineers
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in backend development with Rust and/or Go
- Solid frontend experience with modern JavaScript frameworks
- Experience designing and consuming REST and/or gRPC APIs
- Understanding of cloud-native architectures and distributed systems
- Comfortable owning features end-to-end
Nice to Haves:
- DevOps experience (Terraform, Kubernetes, observability)
- Experience with DCC tools (Maya, Blender, Unreal Engine, etc.)
- Familiarity with 3D pipelines, asset workflows, or real-time rendering
- Knowledge of Three.js or similar
