TechShack is partnering with a well-funded UK health technology company building innovative diagnostic products at the forefront of preventative healthcare. As part of their first in-house engineering build-out, they are hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to take ownership of their cloud infrastructure and platform foundations as the company scales globally.
The Role
This is a senior individual contributor role focused on platform architecture, reliability and scalability, not just pipeline maintenance.
You Will:
- Own and evolve a production AWS environment
- Design scalable, resilient cloud architecture
- Improve CI/CD workflows and deployment patterns
- Lead infrastructure as code practices (Terraform preferred)
- Drive observability, monitoring and SLO standards
- Improve reliability and reduce operational complexity
- Design for multi-region deployment as the company expands internationally
What We’re Looking For
- Strong production AWS experience (IAM, networking, compute, storage, security)
- Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of containers (Docker) and modern deployment practices
- CI/CD ownership experience (GitHub Actions or similar)
- Experience improving reliability, monitoring and incident response
- Ability to operate as a senior IC with architectural influence
- Kubernetes experience is beneficial but not essential.
