Contract Opportunity: Enterprise Data Architect – AWS / AI / Data Marketplace

I am currently supporting a UK-based organisation with the search for an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to support the design and delivery of secure, scalable and governed data marketplace solutions. This is a senior, consulting-focused role requiring someone who has operated at true enterprise architecture level and can work closely with business, data, architecture, engineering and security stakeholders.

The successful candidate will help define architecture principles across data ingestion, processing, sharing, governance and self-service analytics, while supporting the adoption of modern AWS data and AI services.

Key experience required:

  • Enterprise Data Architecture / target-state architecture
  • Banking or financial services experience
  • AWS data platform architecture
  • Data marketplace, data products, data mesh or data lakehouse experience
  • Strong data governance, lineage, metadata and data quality experience
  • Exposure to AWS AI/ML services such as SageMaker, SageMaker Unified Studio, Amazon Bedrock, AgentCore or AWS DataZone
  • Consulting or client-facing architecture experience
  • Strong stakeholder management and design authority experience

Please note, this is not a general cloud migration, infrastructure, application modernisation or software development role. The client is specifically looking for someone with genuine Enterprise Data Architect experience.
