Senior Full Stack Engineer | AI, Python, Typescript | Hybrid, up to £130,000
I'm working with an innovative technology business looking to hire an exceptional Full Stack Engineer to join its growing engineering team.
This is a particularly interesting opportunity for someone who genuinely embraces AI-driven software development. The engineering team operates an AI-first approach, using autonomous coding agents to handle 100% of their coding, with engineers directing, orchestrating and validating the work rather than traditionally writing code themselves.
You’ll take ownership of solutions across the full stack, working closely with business stakeholders to understand problems, shape technical decisions and deliver scalable, high-quality products.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading full-stack development across backend services, APIs, data pipelines and modern web applications.
- Using AI coding agents such as Claude Code and Cursor to plan, generate, review and improve code.
- Designing and developing backend services using Python, FastAPI and modern API frameworks.
- Building modern frontend applications using TypeScript, React and Next.js.
- Establishing testing, validation and evaluation processes to ensure AI-generated code is reliable, secure and production-ready.
- Working directly with stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Helping shape engineering standards, architecture and the wider development approach.
What we’re looking for:
- Solid experience with modern backend frameworks such as FastAPI and frontend technologies including React and Next.js.
- Someone who is genuinely AI-first, regularly using AI agents to drive software development rather than simply using AI as a coding assistant.
- Experience orchestrating agentic workflows, managing context and implementing appropriate quality controls.
- Strong technical judgement, architectural thinking and an ability to challenge conventional approaches.
- Someone commercially aware who enjoys understanding the wider business problem, not just delivering against a technical specification.
