We’re supporting a major long-term Ministry of Defence programme looking for an experienced SC Cleared Backend Heavy Developer to join a high-performing digital engineering team.
This role is ideal for someone with strong Node.js backend engineering experience, alongside frontend capability with either React or Angular. You’ll be working within a modern cloud-native environment focused on scalable services, API development, and secure enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
- Contribute to frontend development using React or Angular
- Work closely with DevOps, QA, and product teams in Agile delivery squads
- Write secure, maintainable, and high-quality code across distributed systems
- Active SC Clearance (essential)
- Strong backend development experience with Node.js
