Contract Automated QA Engineer – Java, AWS, UI to Console

📍 Remote (UK-based) | 💰 £300–£400/day | ⏳ 6 months (likely to extend)

We\’re supporting a well-known retail brand as they scale out their digital platform. They’re looking for a Contract QA Automation Engineer to drive quality across a fast-moving engineering function, covering the entire stack — from Java microservices to UI testing, all built on AWS-native services.

🔧 Tech stack:

• Java, Spring Boot
• AWS – Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, Kinesis Streams, Data Analytics, API Gateway
• RESTful API testing frameworks
• Exposure to TypeScript (UI/service-level test scripting)

✅ What you’ll bring:

• Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test suites
• Strong background testing Java services, APIs, and cloud-based workflows
• Familiarity with AWS serverless and event-driven architectures
• Able to work independently in agile delivery teams, embedding automation into CI/CD pipelines
