We are on the hunt for a confident, professional and tech-savvy Space and Occupancy Planner, with extensive experience in a similar space management role within a corporate environment, to join a fast-paced, forward-thinking organisation in the City of London.

Reporting to the UK Director Of Facilities Management, the Lead Space and Occupancy Planner will manage the space planning strategies for our client's multiple sites, internationally. You will be the key point of contact for our client, ensuring their space and occupancy strategy is leading the charge for all their sites and ensuring that all space is used to its full potential.

The Opportunity:

You will be based out of their world-class, newly refurbished, 50,000 sq ft office near Fenchurch Street, in the heart of London.

In a nutshell:

We are looking for someone with extensive experience in Space and Occupancy Planning and Management. You will need a strong understanding and demonstrable experience in space management, office restacks/neighbourhood allocation, tech services and data analysis, together with excellent project management capabilities. This is an office-based role in the city, therefore we are looking for someone who takes pride in their appearance and has professional presentation suitable to a corporate environment.

Key responsibilities as the Lead Space Planner will include:

  • Managing and coordinating the space planning and move management strategies of multiple sites internationally
  • Responding to end user requests and resolving space and occupancy issues
  • Ensuring all business needs are understood and met
  • Ascertaining space requirements and developing space solutions for all the departments
  • Working closely with various departments to ensure required outcomes are achieved
  • Analysing quantitative and qualitative data and producing reports as required
  • Planning projects meticulously, creating concepts, new floor and space plans and presenting designs
  • Assisting in the design and construction of office refurbishments as needed
  • Updating floor plans in CAD and converting to PDF
  • Adhering to all building regulations, policies and procedures at all times

What we are looking for:

  • Proven, extensive experience working in a similar office space planning role
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of space management, office moves and project management
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Large office project management experience including office renovations and reorganisations, relocation and moves in particular restack projects
  • Impeccable communication skills at all levels
  • Solid IT literacy including MS Office
  • Experienced in using AutoCAD/ Revit/ Bluebeam and office reservation systems
  • Good data analysis and report writing/presentation skills
  • Proactive and motivated nature
  • Professional presentation suitable to a corporate environment
