Key Responsibilities:
Logistics System Integration:
- Lead the integration of merchant’s logistics and shipping platforms (including carrier management systems, 3PLs, and fulfilment centres) with the company’s e-commerce platform and internal systems
- Work closely with the account management, product, and operations teams to ensure smooth integration and prompt issue resolution
- Interact regularly with merchants as they onboard and utilise the Swap platform
Vendor Management & Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
- Engage as needed with logistics and shipping vendors, including carriers, 3PLs, and fulfillment providers.
- Evaluate and recommend new shipping partners or solutions based on operational needs, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Work closely with the Customer Service, Product, and IT teams to ensure logistics and shipping solutions meet customer expectations.
Process Optimization:
- Develop and implement processes to streamline shipping workflows, reduce delays, and increase order accuracy.
- Ensure seamless integration of new logistics technologies, platforms, or solutions into existing operations.
- Monitor shipping and fulfillment performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement in speed, cost, and quality.
Technology & Innovation:
- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in logistics, shipping, and fulfillment, including automation, and data analytics.
- Recommend new tools, technologies, or solutions that could improve shipping processes and enhance the customer experience.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure integrations comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and shipping regulations.
- Maintain thorough documentation for all integrations, including technical specifications, timelines, and troubleshooting steps.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, shipping, and integrations, preferably in an e-commerce environment.
- Strong technical understanding of logistics software, APIs, and data integrations.
- Experience managing integrations with major carriers (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS) and third-party logistics providers.
- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to oversee cross-functional projects and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of shipping best practices, warehousing, and fulfillment processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and external partners.
- Proficiency in Excel, data analytics tools, and project management software (e.g., JIRA, Asana, Trello).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce).
- Familiarity with logistics automation tools and software.
- Experience with international shipping and cross-border logistics.
