The Role

We are seeking an experienced buyer to deliver value through cost savings, quality and timely delivery. The role supports the inventory site of goods and materials and coordinates with suppliers to ensure goods and materials are delivered on time and at the best possible cost.

Responsibilities

  • Place and progress purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any issues or delays
  • Maintain regular communication with suppliers to track order status and update internal teams
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support company objectives
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and cost savings
  • Monitor the supplier on time deliveries and report/clarify any questions or concerns with your line manager and the supplier to fulfil our set KPI’s and targets
  • Focus on attention to detail, including supplier documentation reviews, which are critical to this role
  • Maintain vendor data such as payment policies, list of vendors with contact information and other relevant details
  • Assist in identifying new potential vendors and setting up the procurement process
  • Communicate and manage non‑conformances, coordinating with internal teams and suppliers to ensure effective resolution

About You

  • Previous experience in electronics or electronic components is preferred
  • Able to manage the full purchasing process—from RFQs to order follow‑up and supplier management
  • CIPS Level 3/ Level 5 or equivalent experience
  • Experienced in sourcing, negotiating and purchasing goods and services
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
