We are hiring a Senior Odoo Developer to lead technical design and delivery for an Odoo Enterprise v19 environment, with a strong understanding of upgrade-safe customisation from v18 → v19. You will own the full SDLC for bespoke modules and integrations, focusing on Manufacturing (MRP), Inventory/WMS, and Accounting/Finance. This role requires a structured engineer who prioritises technical design, documentation, and maintainability.
Key responsibilities
- Convert business requirements into clear Technical Design Documents (TDDs) with acceptance criteria and implementation approach.
- Design data models/ERDs aligned to Odoo core patterns, multi-company, security, and performance best practices.
- Ensure customisations are upgrade-safe (minimal core overrides, clean module boundaries, extensible architecture).
- Develop and enhance modules across:
- MRP: BoMs, routings, work centres, operations, manufacturing orders.
- Inventory/WMS: multi-warehouse flows, routes, push/pull rules, reservations, valuation impacts.
- Accounting: journal entries, taxes, fiscal positions/localisations, reconciliation flows.
Must-have qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial Odoo development, with strong delivery in Odoo v18 and readiness for v19.
- Strong Python and Odoo ORM expertise (security, record rules, access rights, performance).
- Deep technical understanding of:
- Manufacturing: work centres, routings, BoMs.
- Inventory: routes, push/pull, multi-warehouse, valuation.
- Finance: journals, tax engine, fiscal localisations.
Nice to have
- HR module experience (Payroll, Recruitment, Appraisals).
- DevOps/CI-CD exposure (pipelines, automated checks, release automation).
