We are seeking an experienced AWS Architect with strong hands-on expertise in designing and implementing cloud-based data platforms and lakehouse architectures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions on AWS while collaborating closely with engineering and data teams to deliver robust cloud-native data pipelines and analytics platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable and secure data architectures on AWS.
- Build and manage lakehouse-based data platforms using modern AWS data services.
- Architect and develop data ingestion, processing, and transformation pipelines.
- Design and optimize data storage solutions using AWS services such as S3 and Lake Formation.
- Develop serverless data processing solutions using AWS Lambda and AWS Glue.
- Implement data governance and access control frameworks using AWS-native capabilities.
- Work with engineering teams to implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Design and manage data synchronization and data migration processes using AWS DataSync and related tools.
- Ensure data platforms support multiple data formats and analytics workloads.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, and security requirements.
- Document architecture designs, standards, and implementation guidelines.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience working with AWS cloud services.
- Strong expertise in AWS data and analytics services, including: AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, Amazon S3, AWS Lake Formation, Amazon Athena.
- Experience building Lakehouse architectures and modern data platforms.
- Experience working with data formats such as Parquet and Iceberg tables.
- Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Hands-on experience with AWS.
