Overview
We are seeking an experienced VMware Infrastructure Engineer with strong technical expertise in designing, administering, and optimizing virtualized environments.
The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on experience with VMware technologies and a solid understanding of networking, storage, and automation within enterprise-scale environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage VMware-based virtual infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Administer VMware v Sphere, ESXi hosts, v Center, and associated tools to maintain a stable and secure environment.
- Manage and optimize virtual networking, storage systems (SAN/NAS), and backup/restore solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across compute, storage, and network layers within virtualized environments.
- Contribute to automation initiatives using tools such as Power CLI or Ansible.
- Support integration of on-premise virtualization with cloud and hybrid platforms (e. g., AWS, Azure).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust infrastructure alignment with business needs.
- Maintain documentation, adhere to best practices, and participate in performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of continuous UK residency .
- 5+ years of proven experience in VMware infrastructure design, deployment, and administration.
- Strong expertise with VMware v Sphere, ESXi, v Center, and related ecosystem tools.
- Solid understanding of virtualized networking, enterprise storage (SAN/NAS), and backup technologies.
- Experience with automation tools such as Power CLI or Ansible (preferred).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid architectures.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
- VMware certifications such as VCP or VCAP are highly desirable.

- Experience with VMware NSX and VMware Horizon.
- Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Advanced scripting skills for automation and orchestration.
