We are seeking an experienced IAM Consultant with a strong Identity & Access Management (IAM) background and previous software engineering experience to join our client’s Information Security team. This role will focus on designing and improving IAM capabilities, including delivering a Proof of Concept (PoC) for Fine-Grained Authorization (FGA), enhancing access management processes, and supporting the integration of applications into modern IAM platforms. This is an initial 6 month contract role with an almost immediate start. The client is London based and requires 1 day per week on site. It is also outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of a Fine-Grained Authorization (FGA) Proof of Concept as part of the Common IAM strategy.
- Enable granular access management through Microsoft Entra ID.
- Support IAM governance processes and improve existing access controls.
- Contribute to Okta/Auth0 and FGA integrations.
- Develop IAM testing and simulation capabilities.
- Support the onboarding of applications into IAM platforms through SSO, role management, and automated integrations.
- Work closely with Engineering teams to design and deliver secure IAM solutions.
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of IAM principles, identity governance, and access lifecycle management.
- Experience with Fine-Grained Authorization (FGA), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and authorization models.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Okta/Auth0.
- Knowledge of SSO, MFA, and application integration patterns.
- Experience with APIs, automation, and cloud/SaaS application integrations.
- Strong software engineering background with experience in languages such as Java, Python, .NET, or Node.js.
