We are working with a well-established financial services organisation seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure & Technical Delivery Team Leader to lead the planning, operation, and continuous improvement of core IT services. This is a hands-on leadership role combining operational stability, technical oversight, and structured delivery of infrastructure change.
The Role
- You will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the Infrastructure & Technical Delivery function, ensuring resilient, secure, and efficient technology services across on-premises and cloud environments.
- You will lead from the front balancing business-as-usual operations with technical change, supplier oversight, and service improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the Infrastructure & Technical Delivery team
- Oversee on-premises and cloud infrastructure (including servers, networking, and core services)
- Support technical project delivery and implementation of defined work packages
- Manage escalated incidents and drive effective problem resolution
- Maintain documentation, asset records, and technical standards
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing
- Contribute to audit, compliance, and regulatory activities
- Manage and challenge third-party suppliers to ensure SLA adherence
- Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence
About You
We are looking for a technically strong leader who combines hands-on infrastructure experience with the ability to coordinate delivery and develop team capability. You will demonstrate:
- Experience leading or mentoring infrastructure / operations teams
- Proven incident management and troubleshooting capability
- Experience overseeing suppliers and service performance
- Ability to balance operational priorities with technical change delivery
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of core infrastructure technologies (servers, networking, cloud platforms, virtualisation, endpoint management)
Experience within a regulated or financial services environment would be highly desirable.
