Senior Software Developer

Our Financial Services client based in the East Midlands are growing their Application Development team and are looking for a Senior Software Developer (Full-Stack). The organisation has a hybrid model which is a couple of days per week in the office.

The Role:

• Initially the role will largely be in .Net based development, working on new solutions and tools whilst also maintaining, refactoring, or re-developing existing solutions.
• As the application development landscape evolves, you will be developing/ updating/ modernising to .Net solutions, REST APIs, Power Platform Logic Apps or middleware integrations.
• Utilising your C# experience by migrating legacy VB.NET applications into C#.
• Utilise your expertise in SQL & T-SQL.

Essential Key Skills / Experience Required:

• Strong skills in .Net desktop application development using Visual Studio, C# and WPF.
• Experience contributing across all phases of the software and data development lifecycle, from design to documentation.
• Ability to identify bugs and offer effective solutions promptly.

Desirable Key Skills / Experience Required: (full training will be provided):

• Proficiency in both desktop application development (C#) and backend development (SQL).
• Strong expertise in MS SQL, T-SQL, and related technologies for backend development.
• Familiarity with Azure services and cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn Power Platform and MS Dynamics.
