This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a skilled and passionate Vehicle Technician/Engineer to join Techniques, a renowned Morgan Service Dealer and TVR specialist, where craftsmanship and engineering excellence come first. We are a family-run business dedicated to the Service and Repairs of hand-built British sports cars. From iconic Morgan roadsters to legendary TVR performance models, every vehicle that passes through our workshop is treated with the highest levels of care.
We're seeking an experienced technician to join our small, highly skilled workshop team as Workshop Technician. In this role, you’ll work hands-on with some of the most distinctive sports cars on the road while helping to set standards and deliver the exceptional service our customers have come to expect.
Responsibilities- Carry out specialist maintenance, repairs, and diagnostic work on Morgan, TVR, and other classic and performance sports cars.
- Work closely with the workshop team, ensuring jobs are completed to the highest standards and within agreed timescales.
- Work with traditional and modern automotive engineering methods, from ash-frames and handcrafted bodywork to BMW/Ford and Rover-powered drivetrains.
- Maintain a tidy, well-equipped workshop environment and uphold a strong health and safety culture.
- Support accident repair projects and race car preparation work, including paid track and race support days.
We’re looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their craft and thrives on delivering first class workmanship. You’ll be:
- A qualified Vehicle Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) with a proven track record in servicing, diagnostics, and repair.
- Enthusiastic and passionate about classic and performance cars.
- A natural problem-solver with a methodical approach to complex diagnostics.
- Confident working independently and within a small team of technicians.
- A strong communicator with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience with BMW engines, classic sports cars, or prestige marques would be an advantage, but Morgan or TVR-specific training will be provided.
