Technique Recruitment Solutions Ltd are working as a recruitment agent on behalf of a leading bespoke marine manufacturer who operates from a large manufacturing plant and prides themselves on being market leaders in their field. They are currently working alongside some of the industry’s most prestigious manufacturers, providing the finest products and solutions.
Pay Rate: £14.63 per hour (Including 15% shift allowance) plus overtime at time and a half
Location: Stalham, Norfolk
Temp ongoing work. The position is based on a 38 hour per week:
- Week 1: Monday–Thursday: 06:00–14:00, Friday: 06:00–13:00
- Week 2: Monday–Thursday: 14:00–22:00, Friday: 13:00–20:00
Rotating on a weekly basis. Overtime is paid at time and a half.
The Job Role:
You will work as part of a specialist glass production team, producing glass components to a consistently high standard. Full training will be provided across several processes, including:
- Glass Cutting - Transferring CAD data and nesting parts to optimise glass sheet usage
- Glass Grinding - Programming, setting, and operating glass edge-grinding machines
- Glass Toughening - Training on in-house flat and bent glass toughening processes, including furnace, press-bent, and sagged bending systems
- Glass Printing - Operating large-format printers to apply detailed designs prior to furnace processing
You will be trained to read and understand engineering drawings and work to required quality standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Manufacture glass products right first time and to specification
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping
- Handle glass safely, including manual lifting where required (mechanical lifting aids available)
- Follow behavioural-based Health & Safety procedures at all times
- Contribute to lean and continuous improvement initiatives
Person Specification:
- Own transport required due to location of client in Norfolk.
- Ideal candidates will have previous CNC operating experience or glass handling experience within a manufacturing industry
