We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Lead to oversee daily operations within our clients Glass Processing production unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, ensuring production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in glass processing or similar industry. As a Front Line Leader, you will support, challenge, inspire and coach your team.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members to ensure production targets are achieved.
- Ensure that all tasks are completed in accordance with safety standards and quality requirements.
- Assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Monitor performance metrics and communicate daily via Tier 1 production boards covering SQDCP.
- Implement KPI metrics to support the department's strengths and weaknesses to secure future direction.
- Work closely with other production areas to ensure they receive glass products in time to meet their targets.
- Develop engagement within your team.
- Provide training and guidance to new team members or those requiring additional support.
- Manage HR related issues alongside the HR and leadership teams.
- Maintain organised workstations and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a bespoke high quality, low volume manufacturing environment with technical knowledge of glass processing, or a similar environment.
- Previous experience in supervising or leading a team is desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and management.
- Alternating shift working is required, including potential overtime during busy periods.
