Technique Recruitment Solutions are working alongside a small, friendly company dealing in an international marketplace looking for a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer.
The Role
- Required to develop customised products for a small, friendly company dealing in an international marketplace.
- Creation of overall design and assembly drawings to define customer requirements.
- Generation of detailed manufacturing drawings for internal or external production.
- Creation of BOM for special products and procurement as required.
- Customer liaison for projects.
- Liaison with Workshop Supervisor to ensure projects are fulfilled on time.
- Continuous Improvement of existing products.
Key Skills
- A sound background in mechanical engineering, with good knowledge of mechanisms, fabricated assemblies and sheet metalwork.
- The ability to quickly and effectively design customised variants from a standard product range.
- The ability to prioritise workload and deal efficiently with multiple projects.
Other Skills
- Good working knowledge of Solidworks 3D CAD or similar.
- Able to produce effective, detailed manufacturing information on time.
- Working knowledge of Machinery Standards and relevant legislation.
- Able to work as part of a small team.
- Excellent communication skills.
