We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established coastal hospitality venue with an outstanding reputation for quality food, exceptional service and a busy year-round trade. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head Chef to take the lead in a fast-paced kitchen, delivering consistently high standards while inspiring and developing a dedicated team. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a confident chef who thrives under pressure and enjoys leading from the front. The Role As Head Chef, you will be responsible for the overall management of the kitchen operation, ensuring every service is delivered to the highest standard. Working with fresh, seasonal produce, you'll oversee menu execution, maintain excellent food quality, and ensure the kitchen operates efficiently during high-volume service. Key Responsibilities * Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen brigade. * Manage busy lunch and dinner services with confidence. * Ensure consistently high food quality, presentation and portion control. * Oversee stock control, ordering and supplier relationships. * Control GP and kitchen costs while minimising waste. * Maintain exceptional food hygiene and health & safety standards. * Plan staff rotas and manage labour costs effectively. * Train, mentor and support junior chefs to develop their skills. * Work closely with the management team to continually improve the food offering and guest experience. About You We're looking for a strong, organised Head Chef who can confidently run a busy kitchen and lead by example. You'll ideally have: * Previous experience as a Head Chef or an experienced Sous Chef ready to step up. * Strong leadership and people management skills. * The ability to remain calm under pressure during busy services. * Excellent knowledge of fresh food preparation and kitchen operations. * A passion for quality ingredients and consistently delivering excellent food. * Good commercial awareness, including stock, waste and labour management. * A positive, hands-on attitude with high personal standards. * Food Hygiene Level 3 (or willingness to obtain).
