Job Role – Manual Machinist
Norwich based
Working Hours: 37.5 hours/week ongoing
Mon-Thu 7:45-16:30 (12:30-13:00 unpaid lunch break)
Fri 7:45-12:15 (no lunch break)
Suggested starting pay rate of £13.84 per hour
Job Role Summary:
To operate a range of manual Lathes, milling machines, Vertical and Horizontal Borers ensuring all jobs are managed to required quality standards within appropriate timescales in a small but busy machine shop.
To fully comply with the company Management Systems, incorporating Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Requirements
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
– Run and operate a variety of manual machines
– Turn, mill and drill various steel/cast components to fine tolerances
– Overcome any tooling and set up problems encountered when machining components
– Adhere to Machine / Department 5S
– Ability to read and understand technical drawings
– Support Quality / Business Improvement initiatives
– Support other Operators by providing flexibility as & when required
– Carry out other tasks as may be reasonably requested by Line Manager, that are within the role holders ability
