Technique Recruitment Solutions are working on behalf of a design firm that prides itself on safe, cost-effective design with a strong background in the oil and gas industry. Due to continued success, a new opportunity has arisen for a Junior Design/Project Engineer based in Great Yarmouth.

Junior Design / Project Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior engineers, manufacturing teams and suppliers to develop design solutions that meet project requirements and objectives.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support the design process, staying up to date with industry standards and emerging technologies.
  • Create detailed 2D technical drawings and 3D models using industry-standard software (Autocad Inventor) to visualize concepts and facilitate the design review process.
  • Use measuring equipment to create 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings from physical samples.
  • Work closely with the manufacturing team to oversee the assembly of equipment and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of technical documentation, including design specifications, function test reports, and manufacturing data dossiers.
  • Work closely with sub-contractors and suppliers.

Junior Design / Project Engineer Requirements:

  • Apprentice trained or foundation engineering degree / HND or HNC qualified or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and design fundamentals.
  • Experience of designing mechanical / hydraulic products.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D modelling software (Autocad Inventor) and Microsoft Office.

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 8.30 – 4.30 (30min lunch break).
