Technique Recruitment Solutions has teamed up with a specialist in the Design and Manufacture of Manual and Powered Lifting Equipment in Fakenham, offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Procurement and CAD Engineer to join their rapidly growing and well-established company.

The role of the Procurement Engineer is to ensure that all project specific parts, assemblies and documents are available for production when required, allowing the scheduled manufacture of products on time, within budget, to a high standard.
Specific Duties:
- Creation of detailed drawings of custom parts, suitable for manufacture.
- Source supplier quotes for custom made parts, within timescale and budget for project.
- Procurement of custom made and project specific parts, within timescale and budget.
- Creation of BOMs for special products.
- Creation of assembly drawings / work instructions for manufacture.
- Creation of custom manuals and other technical documents, where appropriate.
- Supplier liaison, to ensure required parts are available when requested and to communicate information on shortages / delays to production in a timely manner.
- Workshop liaison, working with Workshop Supervisor to assist in the planning and execution of production such that sales orders are fulfilled on time, to the right specification and quality.
- Maintenance of Drawings for continuous improvement of standard product.
- Occasional assembly, as required, to enable review of the design and manufacture of parts and subsequent improvement.
Skills & Attributes:
- SolidWorks knowledge and experience with the skills to work in 3D.
- Ability to produce accurate detailed drawings on time for suppliers to work to.
- Able to organise and prioritise workload within agreed timescales.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Machinery Standards, Directives and CE marking.
- Strong and measurable communication with workshop.
- Willingness and ability to work as part of a team.
- Working to company flow charts.
- Willingness to learn.
