Technique Recruitment solutions are working alongside a small, friendly company dealing in an international marketplace looking for a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer.

The Role

  • Required to develop customised products for a small, friendly company dealing in an international marketplace.
  • Creation of overall design and assembly drawings to define customer requirements.
  • Generation of detailed manufacturing drawings for internal or external production.
  • Creation of BOM for special products and procurement as required.
  • Customer liaison for projects.
  • Liaison with Workshop Supervisor to ensure projects are fulfilled on time.
  • Continuous Improvement of existing products.

Key Skills

  • A sound background in mechanical engineering, with good knowledge of mechanisms, fabricated assemblies and sheet metalwork.
  • The ability to quickly and effectively design customised variants from a standard product range.
  • The ability to prioritise workload and deal efficiently with multiple projects.

Other Skills

  • Good working knowledge of Solidworks 3D CAD or similar.
  • Able to produce effective, detailed manufacturing information on time.
  • Working knowledge of Machinery Standards and relevant legislation.
  • Able to work as part of a small team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
