The predicted salary is between 28000 - 42000 £ per year.

This role is responsible for all aspects of domestic, industrial and commercial electrical installation. It will ensure maintenance, inspection and repair work is carried out to the highest quality, customer satisfaction and in compliance with all health and safety and industry regulations.

Key outcomes and responsibilities:

  • Install and repair electrical power systems in businesses, homes, factories and public spaces ensuring a high standard of health and safety and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan electrical wiring, diagnosing electrical problems and conducting general electrical maintenance, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and Health and Safety requirements.
  • Survey sites where electrical systems are installed to ensure that electrical wiring is functional and able to run problem free, addressing any potential hazards if discovered.
  • Draft electrical installation plans and technical diagrams to provide a visual representation of electrical design to support in the installation or repair of electrical systems.
  • Install, maintain, modify, and repair all electrical systems in public spaces and buildings to our standards of quality and health and safety.
  • Ensure all electrical systems installed or worked on adhere to the national electrical safety standards and regulations.
  • Supervise ongoing electrical system installations and provide technical expertise to installation teams when needed.
  • Use blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete projects.
  • Complete work orders and record materials that are used on the job which can be used for future reference by outlining the process of completing certain tasks, to improve efficiency.
  • Identifying electrical problems and repairing them efficiently and effectively to ensure minimal disruption to our clients/customers.
  • Advise the company’s management when to replace aged electrical equipment to prevent hazards and optimise equipment performance.
  • Conduct general electrical systems maintenance and troubleshoot electrical issues with testing equipment to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of our electrical systems and identify any areas of improvement.
  • Work effectively with colleagues from across the Group to deliver a timely service that meets customer expectations and meets organisational objectives.

Skills, qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • At least 5 years experience in all aspects of installation works
  • ECS Gold Card C&G 2919
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Organised and proactive approach to work
  • A moderate degree of computer literacy
  • A flexible approach to problem solving
  • Full UK driver’s license

Personal Specification:

  • Electrical Inspection & Testing
  • Formal electrical qualification NVQ3 - BS7671 17th or 18th Ed
  • Experience of fire alarm installation
