We are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Pastry Chef to join the culinary team at a renowned boutique hotel, restaurant, and events venue set in a stunning location. Salary & Benefits

  • £32,500 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • 48-hour contracted position
  • Generous tronc/tips paid on top of your salary

The Role

As Pastry Chef, you will take ownership of the pastry section, creating high-quality desserts, pastries, cakes, and baked goods that complement the venue's award-worthy food offering. You will work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver exceptional standards across restaurant service, afternoon teas, weddings, and special events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and presenting desserts, pastries, breads, and baked goods to a consistently high standard
  • Managing the day-to-day operation of the pastry section
  • Assisting with the development of seasonal dessert menus and event offerings
  • Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
  • Managing stock, ordering, and minimising waste
  • Ensuring consistency, creativity, and attention to detail across all pastry products
  • Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy service periods and events

About You

  • Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or Pastry Chef de Partie within a quality hotel, restaurant, or events venue
  • Strong technical pastry and baking skills
  • Passion for creating high-quality desserts using fresh ingredients
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive, professional, and team-oriented approach
  • A desire to develop and progress within a respected hospitality operation
