Job Purpose

We are looking for a Workshop Technician to join our team in Veenoord / Nieuw-Amsterdam (The Netherlands). If you are looking for your next opportunity and would like to join a global business that will support and encourage you to reach your full potential, then this could be the role for you!

The Workshop Technician plays an important role in supporting TechnipFMC and its customers by inspecting, repairing, and maintaining equipment in the workshop. This work is carried out with a strong focus on quality, safety, and teamwork, in line with TechnipFMC’s quality standards, industry and customer requirements.

In this role, you work closely with colleagues across the workshop and report to the Workshop Manager, who provides day‑to‑day guidance and acts as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

Job Description

  • Assemble, disassemble, inspect, test, and maintain TechnipFMC and customer equipment in line with specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform pressure testing, refurbishment, and maintenance activities to ensure safe and reliable equipment performance.
  • Complete required technical and quality documentation, including test and inspection reports.
  • Safely operate tools, equipment, and material‑handling devices to support workshop and logistics activities.
  • Support cost tracking and work‑order execution by accurately recording required data in company systems.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in accordance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Proactively report any operational, quality, or safety issues to the Workshop Manager and log them in the appropriate systems.

You are meant for this job if:

  • You have a (V)MBO/TL qualification in Engineering or a related field
  • You have experience in a technical or workshop environment (energy industry experience is a plus)
  • You are proficient in Dutch and English, both spoken and written
  • You are skilled in working with hand tools and power tools
  • You have basic experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

In addition, you:

  • Are flexible and able to adapt to a dynamic work environment
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Work well in a team while also being able to operate independently
  • Perform well under pressure, with a strong sense of responsibility and safety awareness
  • Are able to prioritize tasks in coordination with the Workshop Manager
  • Are open to giving and receiving constructive feedback
