Job Purpose
We are currently looking for a Regional Life of Field Engineering Manager to join and lead the Northern Europe and CIS team.
Desired location is Stavanger, Norway but strong candidates located within the Northern Europe & CIS region will be considered.
The Regional Life of Field Engineering Manager leads and develops the multi-disciplined regional engineering capability, supporting greenfield and brownfield installation and intervention, aftermarket support, integrity, maintenance, modification & repair and life-extension activities across the Surface Drilling & Completion portfolio.
The role ensures the right engineering resources, technical competencies, processes, and governance are in place to deliver safe, reliable and compliant solutions for our internal and external customers.
The role is accountable for technical integrity, engineering delivery performance, knowledge management, and continuous improvement across the regional Life of Field engineering organisation.
It requires close collaboration with front end engineering, projects and base and service operations ensuring our products and services are fully supported to meet customer needs and expectations.
Job Description
- Adherence to financial budgets, cost control and team timekeeping.
- Right sizing engineering resources to support the NE&CIS operations and base activities.
- Ensuring engineering competence to execute Lo F engineering activities, providing business with expected support.
- Ensures compliance to Technip FMC, Industry and Customer policies, standards & regulations.
- Ensures the technical integrity of engineering output in relation to supporting right first time, reliable and safe products and services.
- Develops teams in transitioning to the Technip FMC Management System.
- Develops and fosters the Leadership Standard behaviors within the teams.
- Process and service improvement through visual management and problem solving.
- Develop and communicate functional performance metrics.
- Support other business functions in wider business improvement initiatives.

- REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechnaical or releated Engineering essential.
- REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Expert in Surface Wellhead construction and operations with ability to direct team in problem solving unique product and operational issues under constraints of time.
- Sound understadning of product design principles, coating and material science to direct team in product problem solving and base support such as MMR.
- Visualisation of performance metrics using tools such as Power BI and Miro.
- Lean Principles & Methodologies.
- Expert in problem solving and root cause analysis processes and methodologies.
- REQUIRED INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
- Structured and pragmatic approach to service and operational support and problem solving.
- Good interpersonal and intercultural communication skills, understanding and communication within diverse cultural environments is critical.
- Able to network well, demonstrate diplomacy and negotiation skills.
- Leadership and influencing skills (between peers and across functions).
- Planning, delegation and organizational skills.
- Strong in people development and mentoring.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- Experience in Oil Field or similar Engineering.
- Service background desired.
- Product design background advantagious.
- Knowledge of Surface and/or Subsea drilling and completion products, applications and technologies.
- Knowledge of applicable industrial standards or requirements (API 6A, API Q1, API 17D).
- Experience in mentoring, coaching and development of engineers.
- Previous team leadership and management esential.
