As a key member of our dedicated R&D team, you’ll play a central role in developing cutting‑edge Medium and High Voltage subsea power cable systems for our Dynamic Inter Array Cable System (DIAC). Working closely with our New Energies business segment, you’ll drive innovation from concept to qualification, helping us deliver world‑leading integrated solutions that will define the future of offshore wind.

As a High-Medium Voltage Subsea Power Cable Chief Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development, qualification, and integration of our subsea dynamic power cable products for the success of integrated Water Column EPCI offering for Floating Offshore Wind.
Core Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize high and medium voltage power cables.
- Provide technical governance of the supply chain for power core components.
- Apply your knowledge of cable manufacturing processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Specify HV/MV testing to validate cable performance.
- Analyse long-term performance and failure modes of HV/MV cables.
- Ensure compliance and have participation with relevant standards (e.g., IEC, CIGRE).
- Foster a network of experts in this field across clients, suppliers, academia, and industry recognised organisations.
- Develop a clear overview of the operational requirements for the developing floating offshore wind market through engagement with clients and other experts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Extensive relevant experience in subsea power cable engineering in the offshore wind and/or oil & gas sectors.
- Proficiency in power core supply chain management, cable manufacturing, and HV/MV testing.
- Experience in mechanical testing and performance assessment of power cables.
- Proficiency in electro-magnetic analysis for cable systems.
- Knowledge of splicing/jointing power cables.
- Knowledge of power cables termination techniques for service and testing.
