Job Purpose
The Mechanical Assembly Technician performs complex mechanical and hydraulic assembly work. Tasks require a high level of skill with a variety of hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and machinery. The Mechanical Assembly Technician performs a variety of operations, including troubleshooting and rework, requiring a sufficient understanding of the functional operation of the items that are assembled as well as the finished product.
Job Description
- Follow Standardized Work practices.
- Performs highly complex mechanical and hydraulic assemblies from detailed blueprints and verbal/written instructions with minimal supervision.
- Performs troubleshooting activities on a variety of highly complex mechanical assemblies for Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) and Tether Management Systems (TMS).
- Perform a variety of warehouse functions.
- Incorporates problem solving and process improvements into workflow.
- Other duties as assigned.
You are meant for this job if:
- Minimum of 3-5 years mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly experience.
- Reads and understands assembly drawings, bill of materials and schematics.
- Proficiently uses a variety of hand tools and precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and torque wrenches.
- Intermediate Microsoft Word, Outlook and Microsoft Teams (Familiarity with SharePoint preferred).
- Performs problem-solving skills and makes decisions while following Company policies.
- Multitasks in a fast-paced environment effectively while meeting deadlines.
- Contributes to a positive work environment by adhering to the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and all workplace policies and guidelines.
- Effectively communicates with lead and supervisor.
- Effectively works as a productive team member both inside and outside the department.
- Ability to work overtime.

Salary range: 22/hr to 32/hr
