Job Purpose

Contract: Permanent

Location: Paris

Salary: €50,000 – €58,000 gross annual base (excluding benefits)

Your Responsibilities

  • As Project HSE Manager Subsea Africa, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the HSE management system across our projects.
  • Deploy TechnipFMC’s HSE policies and programmes throughout all project phases.
  • Support the Project Director/Manager in developing HSE leadership within the project management team.
  • Prepare the deployment plan for the Pulse programme (our safety culture initiative).
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and define necessary measures.
  • Establish and enforce HSE procedures and plans for the project (TechnipFMC and client requirements).
  • Define the project’s HSE strategy and required resources.
  • Qualify subcontractors and align their HSE practices with TechnipFMC standards.
  • Manage HSE risks related to fabrication, construction, and offshore operations.
  • Implement HSE performance indicators and provide monthly reporting.
  • Participate in or lead investigations into high-potential incidents (SIF).
  • Conduct audits and inspections, and manage HSE engineering teams.

About You:

Your Profile

  • Education: Master’s degree with a specialisation in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE).
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years in HSE project roles, ideally in Subsea.
  • Key Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and ability to coordinate multicultural teams.
  • Languages: Fluent in English.
  • Mobility: Short international assignments and occasional site visits in Africa.
  • Additional Assets: Offshore experience and auditor certification. Knowledge of TOPSET, ISO 45001 / ISO 14001, and INTELEX software. BOSIET/HUET certification.
