We are currently looking for a Workshop/Warehouse Manager to join our team in Altens, Aberdeen. The Workshop & Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading all service and aftermarket activities within the workshop and warehouse to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality execution of work. This role oversees day‑to‑day workshop and warehouse operations, including scheduling, resource planning, and workforce management, to deliver products and services that meet TechnipFMC’s safety, quality, and performance standards.

You will drive a strong HSEQ culture, ensuring all activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements while fostering continuous improvement in operational performance. By guiding and developing a team of workshop and warehouse personnel, you will ensure that production commitments are met, customer expectations are exceeded, and the workshop and warehouse consistently delivers on‑time, high‑quality service that supports overall customer success.

Job Description

  • Act as the management representative during internal and external audits.
  • Ensure all workshop activities are scheduled and executed as required, including morning meetings, project kick‑off sessions, and risk management meetings.
  • Work closely with the Workshop Planner to oversee capacity plan to ensure adequate resourcing levels.
  • Prepare budgets and follow up on budget assumptions for Workshop and Warehouse Profit Centres in line with TechnipFMC forecasting methodology.
  • Lead by example to promote and maintain a positive, collaborative working environment across teams and departments.
  • Manage and deliver maintenance services in accordance with the TFMC Business Management System.
  • Monitor progress of ongoing workshop & warehouse activities.
  • Ensure delivery of work within agreed time, quality, and cost targets through close cooperation with delivery teams.
  • Line‑manage workshop and warehouse personnel and conduct regular check‑ins with all direct reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement by developing and implementing more efficient workshop execution methods, including 5S and LEAN initiatives.
  • Oversee training, development, and mentoring of workshop and warehouse personnel.
  • Establish and maintain records of required training, competencies, and certifications for workshop & warehouse personnel.
  • Coordinate communication with LOF and Project teams regarding technical issues.
  • Manage follow‑up with third‑party suppliers related to technical solutions, TPI’s, and NDE activities.

You are meant for this job if:

  • Several years of experience in Field and experience of leading a team.
  • Knowledge of surface wellhead equipment, tooling and accessories.
  • Good knowledge of industry goods, specifically API, ISO.
  • Experience of SAP.
  • Good knowledge of refurbishment and recertification processes (QCP’S, ITP’s etc).
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools (preferably 5S).
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Risk Management.
  • Knowledge of integrated systems and more complex equipment and techniques (e.g., FAT, SIT, Gas Testing etc.).
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities, with the capability to collaborate effectively across teams and with suppliers.
  • Proactive and self‑driven approach to daily tasks and problem solving.
  • Proven ability to lead, supervise, support, and motivate employees.
