Overview
In this role, you drive SQDC performance for offshore project operations from planning through handover, coordinating with VSO and project vessel teams. You’ll prepare the Project Execution Plan for Operations Packages #66 and #67, manage day-to-day offshore activities, and ensure equipment installation and testing meets client readiness. You’ll lead safety and quality culture, manage risks and changes, and report progress to stakeholders. This is a client-facing role focused on delivery, efficiency, and continuous improvement within TFMC’s operating model.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize and execute the Operations Package within time, budget and QHSES requirements
- Prepare and validate Project Execution Plan for Operations Packages at tender and execution stages
- Act as primary liaison to VSO and project vessel OCMs for day-to-day operations and onshore support
- Promote HSE and Quality mindset within the Operations organization
- Oversee installation engineering with VSO and non-VSO activities, procurement, expediting, testing, and logistics
- Ensure compliance with Design and Constructability Review, HIRA and Offshore Readiness processes
- Identify and manage risks and opportunities with mitigations
- Prepare and present SQDC reporting to stakeholders
- Fulfill contractual obligations and assist with variation orders
- Build relationships with clients, partners, subcontractors, and vendors
- Collate and manage project documentation (NCRs, incidents, ITPs, etc.)
- Mentor the project operations team and support lean transformation and continuous improvement
- Lead Obeya routines and promote enterprise mindset and Lean principles
- Support departmental objectives and initiatives for improved performance
Key requirements
- MSc/BSc in Engineering or relevant discipline
- Significant subsea operations and installation engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of offshore installation techniques and assets
- Experience in project execution, preferably iEPCI projects
- Excellent understanding of subsea projects, equipment, operations and services
- Ability to balance technical, commercial and risk decisions
- Proven leadership in a matrix environment and ability to build strong internal/external relationships
- Proactive, collaborative, and able to learn from situations
- Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, scheduling and ERP systems
