Job Purpose
We are looking for a motivated engineering professional with passion for controls hardware and software to join our Controls & Automation Service & IWOCS Department in Krakow Engineering Center. As a Network Engineer, you will be cooperating closely with multiple teams spread across the globe and working on controls systems for our subsea control platforms.
Job Description
- Preparing network configurations for Subsea Service Lof and Intervention
- Delivery of SDG configuration (Secure Data Gateway) and project specific network configurations
- Preparing documentation such as network topology drawing, network specification and IP plan
- Preparing test procedures and performing network topology test using the ANTS (Automatic Network Test System)
- Participating in meetings and design reviews with internal and external customers
- Configuring routing and switching equipment
- Supporting test personnel in the setup and conducting of system testing
- Participating in IFAT/FAT and EFAT testing
- Providing remote support to Technical Service Personnel (TSP), other on-site and offshore personnel during installation and troubleshooting
You are meant for this job if:
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in one of the engineering fields: Information Technology, Computer Science, Automatics and Robotics, or related
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in network engineering or 3 years within the industrial automation area with heavy exposure to Ethernet-based industrial networks is a must
- CCNA R&S certification is highly desirable, or demonstrated ability to install, configure, operate and troubleshoot routed and switched networks
- Experience in scripting languages such as Python will be a plus
- Understanding of XML processing
- Knowledge of network protocol analyzers such as Wireshark
- Hands-on experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco switches and routers will be a plus
- High level of autonomy in task execution
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Prior experience in computer networking related problem solving and troubleshooting will be a plus
- Ability to deliver results
- Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written
- Readiness to frequent travel on short notice to other TechnipFMC locations, primarily in Norway
- Readiness to be part of duty phone providing global support for Subsea services and IWOCS operations
- Ability to work 4 days from our office in Kraków
