Overview

In this role, you will support the Asset Maintenance System (AMS) and the catalogue database to ensure smooth operations across fleet and connected assets. You’ll work with IDS to test and diagnose AMS issues, maintain documentation, and keep inventory and parts catalogue accurate. You’ll monitor AMS compliance with procedures and engage with vessel engineers and coordinators to facilitate effective asset management. This role offers hands-on problem solving, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to support shipboard and onshore teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support AMS users and ensure AMS functionality
  • Improve AMS structure and raise issues to help desk when needed
  • Liaise with Fleet and Connected Assets teams to address AMS-related cases
  • Maintain AMS processes: manual, purchasing, inventory, manifesting, logistics, maintenance, training, and critical spares
  • Collaborate with IDS for AMS operation, testing, and diagnostics
  • Review training materials, procedures, and processes for compliance
  • Maintain the parts catalogue, reduce duplications, and streamline part naming
  • Perform monthly checks on vessel/connected assets inventory and catalogue entries
  • Interface with vessel Chief Engineers, Material Coordinators, and Vessel Superintendents regularly
  • Follow Change processes and align with stakeholders to meet Asset Management objectives

Key requirements

  • Experience managing asset maintenance systems (HxGN EAM / SAP / Maximo)
  • Worked in shipping asset management
