We are seeking our next Life of Field Engineer! In this role, you will support the service organisation in product installation and service delivery of our engineered solutions that elevate TechnipFMC’s standards, primarily related to Surface Wellhead Equipment. Drive projects to success with a focus on quality, precision, and customer satisfaction, providing technical expertise while championing continuous improvement in line with our company objectives.

Job Purpose

  • Support multiple projects in challenging environment.
  • Involved in the decision-making process as technically responsible.
  • Work with service project manager, workshop coordinator and other technical functions to plan, generate and maintain schedule of assigned projects.
  • Collaborate closely with front end engineering team members to ensure successful project execution.
  • Provide technical support to offshore personnel during installations and maintenance.
  • Review and interpret customer technical specifications and industry codes.
  • Prepare, review and approve engineering documents, including specifications, MEL (Master Equipment List), DBI (Data Base Information), ECN (Engineering Change Notice), design documents and ICP (Installation & Commissioning Procedure), FAT/eFAT (Factory/Extended Factory Acceptance Testing) procedures, ASY (Assembly Procedures) TST (Test Procedures).
  • Define and detail work scopes for modification, maintenance and repair.
  • Investigate non-conformances and provide technical disposition.
  • Identify root cause of any technical problems and propose solutions to ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented to prevent reoccurrence at source.
  • Provide input and support improvements to processes or work instructions.
  • Ensures that assignments conform to TechnipFMC BPMS, guidelines and specifications.

Main Accountabilities

  • Defines engineering solutions to support service delivery, in line with company and industry standards and guidelines such as API6A, 17D, ASME NORSOK.
  • Identifies and analyses risks associated with engineering tasks.
  • Efficiently contributes to the client relations through presentations, meetings, interfaces, etc.
  • Ensures that engineering documents meet the general quality requirements, codes, and standards.

You are meant for this job if:

  • BS degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent experience in the field as a minimum with wellhead equipment.
  • Technical skills in mechanical and oil field engineering.
  • Driven to solve novel technical problems.
  • Planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding business challenges and what drives customer values.
  • Excellent command of English.
