The Site Customs Coordinator (SCC) is part of the Transport and Logistics Team, managing the transport activities in the UK. The SCC reports to the Project T&L Manager (TM) and to the Site Project T&L Manager as needed. His/her key operational function is to execute the daily customs management and coordination. In addition, he/she ensures the back-up of the Port Supervisor during his/her absence by executing the daily off-loading supervision activities.

Job Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Execute the daily Customs activities.
  • Ensure the interface between Customs Authorities, Broker, Hauliers, Freight Forwarders, Carriers and other stakeholders of the Project.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders for tracking the Customs Duties with the Deferment Account and maintaining records.
  • Monitor the execution of the Customs Operations, gather the declarations and relative documents.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the Transport and Customs Processes and Communication Matrix.
  • Support with other Logistics functions at Site (Port Supervisions, Logistics Management).
  • Manage the UK domestic shipments on SPMAT.
  • Other duties and responsibilities assigned by the manager.

Reporting Lines and Interactions:

  • Functional reporting: Project T&L Manager (TM).
  • Operational reporting: Site Project Logistics Manager.

Interactions:

  • Internally: Transport and Logistics Team, Site Management, Construction Management, Material Management.
  • Externally: Customs Authorities, Freight Forwarder, Customs Broker, Teesworks Authority, Terminal Operators, Stevedoring Company, Hauliers.

Profile:

  • Extensive experience in general/transport and UK Customs.
  • Knowledge of Logistics operations & Planning.
  • Familiarity with Incoterms & Transport and Logistics.
  • Experience in fields and knowledge of the Oil & Gas/Energy industry preferable.
  • Communication skills in English.
