The Net Zero Teesside Power project is a flagship initiative aimed at delivering a state‑of‑the‑art, low‑carbon power generation facility. As part of this innovative project, Technip Energies is committed to ensuring the successful delivery of piping scope on‑site, supporting the transition to a sustainable energy future.

Job Description

Technip Energies is seeking a highly skilled Piping Engineer to oversee and coordinate EasyPiping activities during construction on the Net Zero Teesside Power project. This key role involves managing the EasyPiping tool for piping fabrication & erection activities, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and smooth communication among project teams and stakeholders throughout all project phases. The successful candidate will act as EasyPiping Engineer/Operator on the project and full EasyPiping training will be provided.

EasyPlant Suite Application

EasyPlant Suite is the Technip Energies in‑house IT tool dedicated to the management of construction & site activities. EasyPiping is the Piping Module integrated into EasyPlant that covers all piping activity from spooling up to release for commissioning.

EasyPiping Operator Responsibilities

  • The Easy Piping Operator is responsible for the proper use of EasyPiping by all users. This responsibility covers:
    • Site administration
    • Training all users on site
    • All operations related to EasyPiping in general
    • The focal point for all EasyPiping activities on the project, the support team, and all site users

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all piping construction activities, updating, monitoring and tracking progress in the Easy Piping tool.
  • Possess complete knowledge of the pipeline construction project life cycle from engineering release of isometrics to commissioning.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for EasyPiping system configuration, access rights management, and document structure setup.
  • Ensure data on spool progress, welding progress, NDE results, joint details, etc., are entered daily.
  • Ensure the EasyPiping database is prepared and validated for construction, quality complies with the Quality Control Plan (QCP/ITP) and contractual requirements.
  • Monitor document workflows, ensuring quality and compliance of deliverables.
  • Assist in managing the work front for subcontracts and provide the project team with material availability reports.
  • Prepare and issue required status reports, often using tools like PowerBI.
  • Coordinate with various project stakeholders as required.
  • Train project users and external contractors on the EasyPiping platform.
  • Act as the interface between project teams to ensure EasyPiping complies with project requirements.
  • Flange & Test Pack management.
  • As‑built review and update.
  • Ensure data consistency.
  • Coordinate application interface between EasyPiping and EasyPlant & EP3D.
  • Provide solutions for data/progress input errors and mistakes.
  • Conduct biweekly meetings with stakeholder coordinators.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Extensive experience in piping engineering supervision.
  • Proficiency with EasyPiping or a similar piping construction tool.
  • Proven experience on large‑scale energy, petrochemical, or power plant projects.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).
  • Strong knowledge of piping fabrication, installation, and commissioning processes.
  • Experience on projects with environmentally sensitive or low‑carbon objectives is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a client‑side role, managing multiple priorities and coordinating diverse teams.
