About the Project: The Net Zero Teesside Power project is a flagship initiative aimed at delivering a state-of-the-art, low-carbon power generation facility. As part of this innovative project, Technip Energies is committed to ensuring the successful delivery of piping scope on-site, supporting the transition to a sustainable energy future.

Position Overview: Technip Energies is seeking a highly skilled Piping Engineer to oversee and coordinate EasyPiping activities during construction on the Net Zero Teesside Power project. This key role involves managing the EasyPiping tool for piping fabrication & erection activities ensuring data integrity, compliance, and smooth communication among project teams and stakeholders throughout all project phases. The successful candidate will act as EasyPiping Engineer/Operator on the project. Full EasyPiping training will be provided.

EasyPlant Suite application is the Technip Energies inhouse IT tool dedicated to the management of the construction & site activities. EasyPiping is the Piping Module integrated into EasyPlant that covers all piping activity from the spooling up-to the release for commissioning.

The Easy Piping Operator is responsible for the proper use of Easy Piping by all users. This responsibility covers:

  • The site administration
  • The training on site of all users
  • All operations related to EasyPiping in general

The EasyPiping Operator is the focal point for all EasyPiping activities on the project, the support Team and with all site users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The primary responsibility is to manage all the Piping construction activities, updating, monitoring and tracking the progress in the Easy Piping tool.
  • Should possess complete knowledge about the workflow of the Piping construction project life cycle beginning from the Engineering release of the Isometrics till commissioning activities.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for EasyPiping system configuration, access rights management, and document structure setup.
  • Ensure that all data pertaining to Spool progress, Welding progress, NDE results, Joint details, etc., are entered on a day-to-day basis.
  • Ensuring the EasyPiping database is prepared and validated for construction, quality complies with the Quality Control Plan (QCP/ITP) and contractual requirements.
  • Monitor document workflows, ensuring the quality and compliance of deliverables.
  • Assist project in managing the work front for the subcons and providing the Project team with material availability report.
  • Preparing and issuing required status reports, often using tools like PowerBI.
  • Coordinating with various project and project stakeholders as required.
  • Train project users and external contractors in the use of the EasyPiping platform.
  • Act as the interface between the project teams as necessary to ensure EasyPiping complies with the project requirements.
  • Flange & Test Pack Management.
  • As built Review & update.
  • Ensure data consistency.
  • Coordinate for application interface between EasyPiping with EasyPlant & EP3D.
  • Solution provider for the data/progress input errors/mistakes.
  • Conduct biweekly meetings with stakeholder coordinators.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Extensive experience in piping engineering supervision.
  • Proficiency in EasyPiping or similar Piping construction tool.
  • Proven experience working on large-scale energy, petrochemical, or power plant projects.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).
  • Strong knowledge of piping fabrication, installation, and commissioning processes.
  • Experience working on projects with environmentally sensitive or low-carbon objectives is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a client-side role, managing multiple priorities and coordinating with diverse teams.
