Technip Energies is seeking a highly skilled HV Electrical Engineer to join our Field Engineering team for the Net Zero Teesside Power project. The successful candidate will play a key role in supervising subcontractors, ensuring the quality, safety, and timely execution of building and structural works in a complex, zero-emissions power facility. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a pioneering project in sustainable energy.

Job Purpose

  • Ensures continuity of engineering to site.
  • Oversees technical interfaces with the sub-contractors.
  • Oversees resolving first level problems at site.
  • Performs simple calculations and draws sketches for any modification work at site.

Key interactions

  • Directly supervises (operationally): Designers and Draftsmen in large projects, eventually Field Engineers.
  • Key interactions (internally, externally): Lead Discipline Engineer, Other site discipline field engineers and Project manager, Sub-contractors, vendors.

Main accountabilities

  • Ensures the engineering continuity within contractual requirements by managing day to day issues at site, either by performing designs in case of simple changes or escalating the issue to the Discipline department manager at home office.
  • Coordinates with engineering disciplines, contractors and sub-contractors at site.
  • Ensures that the master disciple documentation is marked up with the latest information.
  • Ensures the proper documentation of field changes and as-built drawing production in accordance with project requirements.

Job scope

  • Accountability for day-to-day site engineering issues.
  • Accountability for the construction works: held by Technip Works autonomously with ability to coach junior field engineers.

Typical Profile/ Must have Profile

  • Engineering Degree.
  • Extensive experience in Design and execution of the projects in onshore or offshore facilities.
  • Design & Field Engineering experience in onshore or offshore facilities.
  • Experience with 3D tools.
  • Fluency in professional English.
