The shared service People & Culture team is a collaborative team working across the UK, supporting the Genesis UK Operating Centre (UK, Norway & Kazakhstan); with some cross functional work with Technip Energies UK. We support the wider business to ensure their delivery on feasibility assessments and concept selection for new developments through to technical support of mature assets.
At Genesis we work in close partnership with our internal and external clients as well as key stakeholders to develop an understanding of their problems before identifying the possible solutions and supporting their decision‑making process.
Based in the London office and reporting to the Global HR Business Partner, the successful candidate for the HR Advisor position will be the first point of contact for any HR queries, provide guidance on relevant policies, employment law/legislation and employee relations.

As HR Advisor you will:
- Update and maintain accurate HR system data
- Advise and support on Employee Relations cases such as disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance improvement and capability.
- Update and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with UK legislation and best practice
- Mentor and coach line managers on best practice on all policies, and processes, including, but not limited to performance appraisals, absence management, performance improvement and employee relations cases
- Using the HR systems and personnel records, provide data insights and pull relevant reports that feed into HR metric data
We would love to hear from you if you:
- Hold a CIPD qualification of level 3 or above (essential)
- Have proven experience in an HR Generalist role
- Can display a strong understanding of UK employment law and best practices
- Are proficient in the use of Microsoft suite applications
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships at all levels
- Are not afraid to ask for help
- Are a team player and thrive in a collaborative, fast paced environment
- Can thoroughly analyse HR data and interpret this to update the business
- Are self‑motivated, proactive and able to work to tight deadlines
- Have a desire to develop new skills and experiences
- Previous experience in the energy industry and/or within a consultancy business is advantageous, but not crucial.
It is essential that applicants must have the right to work in the UK and have the ability to travel occasionally within the UK.
