Job Purpose:
We are seeking a dynamic professional to drive market expansion as part of the growth ambition for the Environmental & Sustainability group; enabling us to showcase our expertise and deliver value across multiple industries.
Responsible for originating Environmental and Sustainability projects with strategic implications for our clients - independently planning and mobilizing project teams, and delivering the projects end to end if required (from setup to archiving). The Role is key to developing our Environmental and Advisory Business; creating insightful early client contacts and presenting to our clients and a wider audience (via conferences and subject matter engagements) for the purpose of securing new projects. A further aspect of this role offers an exciting opportunity to drive innovation through identification of opportunities to develop and/or apply digital solutions to meet our clients’ requirements.
Main Accountabilities:
- Support the Environmental and Advisory Solutions Leadership with Business Development campaigns that diversify and grow our market footprint and client base.
- Engage with new clients to originate work and build strong and lasting client relationships that lead to out-of-the-blue service requests.
- Sell projects with a focus on maintaining our high profitability margins, and manage and prepare proposals.
- Lead environmental and sustainability studies and projects, acting as the main contact on technical and commercial matters.
- Provide environmental and/or sustainability input to projects through guidance and preparation of studies and assessments.
Typical background and experience required:
Minimum Experience:
- Master’s degree in environment, economics or commercial.
- Extensive experience in the energy sector with the majority of this focused on delivering environmental, ESG or sustainability orientated projects.
Advantageous Experience:
- Combination of big picture thinking, technical knowledge and an economic mindset.
- Sales focus - comfortable pursuing new clients, and presenting our capabilities in a bid to win new work.
- Ability to frame customer problems and solution options on a blank sheet of paper.
- Strong track record with delivery of Environmental / Sustainability projects.
- Significant experience preparing MS PowerPoint slide decks and presenting to senior internal and external stakeholders.
